"Mark Gross is the Theo Epstein Of Wholesale Grocery"

Just over 30 days after Donald Trump has been elected president, and the Chicago Cubs are the baseball champs, we are beginning to realize 2017 will look to be the year of the entrepreneur, the innovator... a time for "out of the box thinkers."

Much like Trump & Epstein in their respective careers, Mark Gross is an interesting study in in his career within a wholesale grocery management environment. He in fact avoids though his actions what one might understand as the analogy of "Management"....It seems to me Mark is an innovator who seems to have surrounded himself with solid managers to paper up and execute his ideas or innovations as they become SuperValu grocery sales.

"The Guy Is Everywhere"...Mark Writes The Deals, Then Figures Out How It Will Get Done!

Ron Wright (former C&S President and innovator himself) once said "Mark Gross epitomizes the theory of lets do the deal and we will figure out how to make money later" When Ron said this with a chuckle he was serious and within the supermarket industry we have all watched over time Mark sees beyond what most see as the fences or obstacles restricting what is possible in wholesale grocery and is a closer.

"So Now SuperValu Headed By Mark Gross begins To Take Shape....That New Shape Being Market Share"

Locally in the north east SuperValu picks up America's Food Basket but throughout much of the U.S. there is a buzz about the new SuperValu and where this company with Mark Gross might be headed. It is almost unimaginable Mark Gross could or would escape the paperwork one might have to sign to be a senior executive for C&S Wholesale Grocers.

Would They Be, Could They Be? It Is Easy To Ask... Is C&S Involved In This Somehow?

One can only imagine how Mark Gross became president of SuperValu with no obvious background with the company .....Is C&S involved or did the board of SuperValu realize this executive was a rare find?

Those and how many other questions we all ponder daily will likely never be answered by those in the know. One thing we do know is SuperValu trading on the NYSE has a market cap of only 1.29 billion and trades at an interesting 7.89 times the multiple of earnings! At a December 7th close this equates to $4.89 per share.

"Mark Gross Is A Great Bet....Take The Bet & Buy The Stock"

How this came to be and who or what might have been the catalyst Mark Gross is the right guy at the right time for SuperValu.

"All The Images Any Retailer Will Ever Need To Build An Image"

PreparedFoodPhotos.com is a great opportunity to take a look at for your photography library needs. Great food photography today is tough to come by, especially single sourced photography as a library that was styled, photographed, color corrected and separated within the same protocol allowing color consistency never before accomplished. A library that took almost 40 years to create.

Most food photography today is licensed to a lifetime print circulation of 500,000 copies with limitations for group or template formats for group print ads or web sites. This Adlife library of images PreparedFoodPhotos.com is a blanket license subscription with unlimited use in any advertising channel.

In closing, many have asked why I choose to write about what I see in the supermarket industry today and my ideas. At Adlife we believe great ideas and its resulting branding will give new life and direction to any company. So for that reason we chose to open the discussion.
